Brass Hose Fittings.....

Hey guys i make my saltwater in a brute garbage can and for the time being i pump it out with a pump with a cut piece garden hose when i did my last water change i left hose in can with salt water... is the water still good or is it contaminated from the garden hose fitting being in the water. i would hate to have to scrap all this water.

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. How much, if any, contaminated the water I do not know...but it would be much safer just taking the hit on the water. Copper is toxic to lots of the things we keep.
