Very sick Anemone
I need some help I bought a Green bubble tip with the rock it was on in the LFS last Monday was drip acclimated for 3 hours then placed in tank. It looked great and was doing well as you can tell by the pics. On Saturday I did a 10% water change with RO water that had sat over night and I clean the glass and the over flow box and all the filter sponges as I do every week. I did knock over the rock he was on. Ever since the he has been in hiding and looked like the today pics.
The tank is a 10 month old 55 gallon with sump, 48 lbs. live rock, running a protein skimmer that work great am also running a media reactor to control Nitrates, I also carbon dose, I use Orbit marine LED lighting. The tank holds a porcupine puffer, a huma huma trigger, clown, a damsel, an emerald crab some snails and some hermit crabs. What I want to know is my anemone in trouble or is this normal. Yesterday I moved him to a smaller tank due to the fear he was dying. My water is great, Specific Gravity= 1.026 Nitrite= 0 ppm Ammonia= 0 ppm Nitrate= 2.5 ppm Calcium= 480 KH= 300 ppm Any info would be great |

I would have left it the dt for another day or so maybe moving it to a different tank could have put it over the edge but hopfully it comes back around and you will have a nice gbta soon. Good luck with it

Anemones are very sensitive to altering water parameters, I don't know how you can make it better, but in future it's best to avoid doing cleaning maintenance and a water change on the same day.

Take him out and treat him with Cipro as per the Cipro sticky thread above.
