Tiny Feather Dusters?
It looks like I have a few, tiny feather dusters. Where did they come from and how long until the grow nice and big?

There are dozens of tiny feather duster species that we commonly find in our reef tanks. Most of them stay tiny and proliferate in a nutrient rich tank. I have always had some living in my sump. The ones I have are pretty common. They have calcium based small tubes around an inch long and small red "feathers".
Many species come in on live rock. Another common variety has its tube in the rock and often have nearly circular "feathers" of around .5" diameter. Without pictures we can't identify what you have. Finding new living things in your tank is one of my favorite things about reef aquariums.
