Thanks! I'm just worried that the silicone will expand. But I may give it a shot with just a tiny bit of silicone.

This was my first thought too. I'm going to purposely way undertighten next time. But if it leaks, then I'll give it another turn.

Did two 1 1/2 and two 1 inch Sunday on a 30 gallon, none of them were more than half way in. The fittings (street elbows thread to the bulkhead, slip to go away from the tank) were all from BRS so I don't think they are anything special. Three wraps of Teflon tape on each and tight as I could get by hand holding onto the bulkhead and elbow fitting. Still holding a freshwater test until I have time to drain down and finish setting up this weekend hopefully.

Current Tank Info: 475 multitank system is now running! Several hundred gallons of additions planned!
