WHAT IS IT? thought eggs but havnt seen anything like it?

I found this, this morning. I thought it was snail eggs, but I've looked through many posts and pics and don't see anything similar. All I have are 4 turbo snails, 3 maroon clown, SFE.

Friend, unless it dies. then it'll be decaying material in your tank. Otherwise they are good filter-feeders.

Just throwing this out there (and someone correct me if I'm wrong), don't ever take that rock out of the water and expose the sponge to air. Air will get trapped within the sponge, it won't be able to feed and then it will die and you'll need to scrub it off of the rock to get the excess nutrients from the decaying material out of your tank.

Very common to see sponges come and go as a tank develops.

Even if it does die off, not enough material there to cause any harm IMO

Depends on the size of his tank and total water volume IMO

Also, yea, sponges kind of tend to appear almost over-night out of no where.
