one skimmer or two
for a 125 gallon tank would 2 skimmers rated for 75g each or one 150g both would also have a power head running

Personally I would look for one rated around 200 gallons.

Same here. I dont really see a bonus for two skimmers since they would likely be in the same area of your sump and just reskimming part of the water that was already skimmed by the other one.

I had a 150 rated on my 135 and it was not enough. I got a 300 rated one and I also run the 150 as we'll and now my tank is better than ever. The bigger the better and I suggest minimum of double your tsnk volume. so you don't have to upgrade later

Go for one rated for more water than the tank. You can't over skim in my opinion, but if you have corals you just have to watch the mineral levels as skimmers also skim them.

I was thinking a skimmer of about 150 and two sponge filters and maybe an aqua clear 110 in a 125g tank
