Ok, how can you do this?!

Obviously, a lot of money, but it is my dream to have a tank like this one day.

My question for you all is... how?

Buy books, read everything you can, start saving money.

I'm talking more about the corals, yes it seems overstocked.

I am assuming and hoping he is referring to the coral coloration and how clean the tank is not the fish.

Yes, I am. Like I see corals all the way back in the coves, like a frogspawn with very little light, how are these corals staying alive? Sorry, all the colors had me star-struck. I thought it looked awesome.

If you can look at it and not think about the long term welfare of the fish, it does look awesome. Very colorful and gorgeous, maybe not the best husbandry but at face value alone it is a very pretty tank.

So this is mainly a "look at how much money I have" tank, since its obviously overstocked and the owner doesnt really seemed concerned about the long term goals?

I am not saying that, I don't know who owns it. In parts of asia it is the norm to overstock, it could be this guy is great with maintenance or hires somebody to replace fish as they die. I have no idea. As far as the coral coloration and cleanliness goes I think that is completely achievable if the individually is willing to become a student of the hobby and devote a great amount of time and money into perfection.

Any reason why it's like that in Asia? Just an honest question. I didn't even stop to realize that aquarium culture can be different. I just went along thinking we all used widely accepted methods.

First the stats are 660 gallons. No data on sump or refugia size.

Owner is Domero Rotes. So possibly Argentinian?

Can't believe there are two good sized moray eels in there too.

Asia? Argentina?
Geez people, took 5 seconds to find this tank on Google.

It's in the Dormero Rotes Ross Hotel in Germany.

Dormero Hotel Reef

The tank is spectacular, and i'm jealous, as i'll never have a tank this nice.

I never said the tank was in asia, I said I'm not judging the owner of the tank as to it being overstocked, stating it could be normal for the culture in which it exists and I gave asia as an example.

Hitchhiking on: a lot of time to dedicate to the tank.

P.S.

I loved the Zebra Moray slithering through the corals, like a snake. I never knew eels did that. Always thought they just hung out in their caves most of the time.

Great find.
