kessil quality and costumer service

I decided to start this thread to see if my experience with my kessil A 360w's is typical. I bought a pair of A360s about 10 months ago for my rimless 4ft by 2ft by 2ft. The lights worked very well for the first few months. I slowly increased the intensity, but once I got to about 100% intensity one of my kessils would turn off randomly throughout the day. I called kessil and they replaced the light under warranty. Just today I woke up, went to look at the tank, and realized that the color on my kessils did not match even though they were linked with the 0-10v cable. I looked at the leds with sunglasses on and saw that a portion of the leds on one kessil were out and would not turn on no matter what color and intensity setting I used. I again called kessil and they said they would replace the light if I could give them the unit number. I checked and I had ripped off the tag that had the unit number on it, but kessil told me they would still replace my light but only with a refurbished model. Over all I have been very impressed with kessil's costumer service. they were very kind and helpful and were willing to work with me even when I could not prove that my kessil was still under warranty. I just wanted to see what other people have experienced with their kessils. Did I just get a bad batch to have 2 units fail on me or are all kessils failing within a year?

I have 6 A360's currently. I have had 0 issues with them and have contacted kessil 2 times just for information regarding the spectrum range of light that they produce. They were helpful and fast with there answer. I will be adding 4 more Kessils to the list shortly. 2 for my frag tank and 2 more for my DT. I love there lighting and have found that they are producing great colors and growth on all my SPS corrals. Nice to hear that they worked with you well, I support there company as much as anyone and its good to hear good things about them.

This makes me feel better. I love the kessils in every way. They look good inside the tank, they look good outside the tank, they grow my coral well, but Id hate to spend $400 on a product that was supposed to last me at least 5 years to have it die just after the warranty ends.
