Circulation

Hi, is there something call over circulation? I have a 1500 gph hydor koralia pump, a 1500gph protein skimmer in my 60g.
I noticed purple algae? on top of the heater,...algae blenny doesn't care.. I was thinking ,I have the koralia on one side, can I have another on the other side?

For your 60g I would get another 1500 Koralia pump. one on each side of the tank. Having good flow is one of many keys to the hobby. You dont want any dead spots in tank where things can settle.

That's why I plan to do,just want to make sure I don't cause any problem.
Another dummy question, the koralia that I gave is flowing downward(not blowing the sand), the new one should be blowing on the surface?

I forgot to mention, I also have a fluval u4 that has 1500gph too. I know many people say internal filter is bad news but I do clean it every two weeks.. Thought that flow (blowing surface)plus the current hydor koralia (blowing down) should be good, but seeing purple algae means dead spot.adding another hydor koralia 1500gph, would the fish feel stress of blows coming everywhere?
I only have 6 small fish in there with 75lbs LR.

Internal filters can be a temporary solution if you are having issues with a sump or something. I had a Ehiem Pro on my 60 for a couple of years, but the water quality was always sub-par and never crystal clear. Not to say that Ehiem is bad, but in the saltwater hobby you have open and give yourself options. I started a sump, and the difference was like night and day in the water quality. Sorry to tread-jack, by the way. Lol!

Well I was thinking to remove the sponge carbon cartridge inside since the concern is usually trapping nonsense in to cause nitrite but not sure what else can I fill inside.
My tank is crystal clear, almost 4months, water parameter always at 0,once nitrate was at 25ppm. PH 8, temp 78-80.
I just put in the hydor slim skim but had to off it cause the buzzing sound keeping me awake at night.
So with 1500gph blowing both side ,and purple algae on top of the Eheim heater? I only seen these on the rock..
And the weirdest thing is, I keep hearing tat tat tat like knocking a snail shell on the glass... But I never seen and don't have pistol shrimp.the only shrimp that hijacked was Saron shrimp..

You're running 1500gph through your skimmer?

Do you mean coralline algae or cyno? Because coralline is a hard calcium based algae that is actually a good sign and does not indicate dead spot, if it is cyno like a reddish slimy algae then yes you might need more flow in that area. You could try just repositioning what you currently have to get a good flow around your tank. As far as to much flow, in the tank as long as you are not creating a sand storm or stressing the fish or corals out then no shouldn't worry about to much circulation.

Thanks for pointing out. When I opened the box, somewhere it says 1500 but I don't see it on the manual at all. Anyway, I looked at the pump It' says 50gph.

I am pretty sure it's cyano.its dark purple mushroom lookalike, at my first look, is as like mushroom growing on heater? But I peel it off easily and it looks hairy.

And yes that's one corner where it doesn't get flow...cos my fluval u4 is blowing top from right, the hydor koralia is on left pointing down on LR. I am worry another 1500gph might be too much..

This is my tank, I also plan to move the filter to the back so it wouldn't be so eyesore.
