fish missing
how long do you wait after you haven't seen a fish before you start to worry. I haven't seen my yellow watchman in 2 days and I'm fearing the worst.
checked the overflow, sump, fuge. Even removed the union before the ball valve to to the fuge to make sure he didn't wander in there. |

I stick with aquatic obsession. I used to like ocean gallery but they changed management and it's starting to show in their livestock.
Tropiquarium in ocean is nice but limited selection. do you have any recommendations? |

I wouldn't worry about it too much, yellow watchman like to hide and spend a great deal of time in their bolthole. I have gone 5 weeks one time between sighting mine.

My watchman disappeared for almost 2 months before. Found him in the sump under the return pump. And, he did it a second time. Pistol shrimp finally gave up on him.

Hmm well I still haven't seen him but I'm glad to know that other people have the same issue with them. He's my newest fish, about 2 weeks out of qt.

As a general rule, any fish that was coming out and now isn't is a bad sign. More often than not this means CUC food; however, watchman gobies do change their behavior and become more reclusive over time. Problem with this is how to ensure they are getting enough food. I have a diamond watchman that was always out until one day I realized I hadn't seen it for a week or so. Figured it was a goner but, lo and behold, there it was one day. I don't see it very often, but when I do a drop in one of those NLS sinking wafers for it to eat.
