The first stages of aquascaping, any thoughts?
I started my rough aquascaping today. Here is a what it looks like. Any advice or comments? I have not broken out any acrylic rods or glue yet, but don't mind.
What do you guys think? I will be working in a few more pieces of fresh live rock to help seed for sure, I'm hoping to ad at least one good shelf on the left side with it. |

I don't know why that is, I can see it from my computers but can not see it from any mobile device. I will put the images on my server tomorrow and try again.

I have about 160 lbs of figi-pink, should be 2.5 to 3 inches. I was planning on putting egg crate under the rock only as well. |

that small stuff in the front will get lost under the sand, but other than that it looks good

I read the same article when I was aquascaping my tank for the 116th time. It's got great ideas, but all pieces of rock are different. One thing I read that's great advice if you're able is to put the rock in before adding substrate, much less likely to shift. After staring at my tank for a couple of hours with a couple glasses of wine, I put up my rocks so I have caves and overhangs, top of rocks are a few inches from the surface for my sps, fish are happy because they have swimming space but also hiding places and cover. Don't know about egg crate....
