Aquamaxx EM200
Finally received my Aquamaxx EM200. The reviews are definitely accurate. This skimmer ROCKS. I'm running it on my 90 gallon tank and its already pulling dark nasty skimmate. Its only been 2 days. Prior to the Aquamaxx i was running a RO. I was satisfied with the RO, just felt it was time for something new. Definitely worth the wait.

What depth do you run the skimmer? Is it loud?

Here are some shots of it yesterday. It was reinstalled on the 90g, after being on my 150g for a week. My EM300 needed a new impeller, as it had gotten debris in it, ruining it. My fault for not running a prefilter. The EM200 was removed from the 90g, and placed on my 150g. It removed the same amount of waste, in the same amount of time, as my EM300 does. Here is what it has removed in 24 hours -

Does that have a tube (already drilled) that comes with it that you can put in a bucket for excess waste?

It does come with the piece 'built in' in which to attach additional tubing.

So in the pics, that chamber he has on the right is where the excess goes correct? Also is it possible to add one of those cleaners to this to?
I've seen pretty solid reviews on this skimmer all around, and the price is better than the Octopus reefs i've been looking at....might have found my skimmer! Last edited by Ryanrttu; 06/05/2014 at 08:13 AM. |

yes the chamber on the right is where the waste goes, and yes you can add like a avast swabbie to it to clean the neck.
