OTP 2000 issues
Good Afternoon RC,
I have an Octopus NWB 150 that has worked great for over a year then recently has stopped making bubbles. The pump still runs but it doesn't pull any air through the volute. What is weird is nothing has changed (water level, flow, etc) as far as I can tell. I took it apart and cleaned it completely and still the same part. To add to the weirdness is that if I put my finger in front of the opening partially it begins to work and draw in air?!?!. I cleaned the air line and everything else I can possibly think of but I can't get it to work well enough. Any ideas? |

Soak it all in vinegar for a few hours.

I soaked it over night in pure vinegar and scrubbed the volute, impeller, and the pump.
Anything else? |

Buy a new one. Had the same skimmer with the same problem. Just over a year and the pump went, just past warranty time, go figure, never figured out what was wrong with it tho.
