What are your objectives for the tank> Fish only, mixed reef, or SPS? Second what is your budget?

Basically staying with fowlr concept. So far as money goes a few hundred.

For a FOWLR, go with a Reefbreeders value fixture (or the chinese ebay equivalent to save a few bucks). The 16" unit with the optics removed about 6-8" off the water will give you full coverage for that size tank.

Fish do not really do not care so this is easy you may get by with just one if you hang it high enough they are designed to cover a 24 x 24 area but being just fish only it should work. You could always just buy on and see how you like it then if not or you decide to do some light demanding corals just add another.

If ur into DIY try rapid LED...if not I have a current orbit marine on mine and it works great..even a few low light corals
