Hi Thinking upgrade my skimmer again this time got the approved from wife. What do u think between these two Super Reef Octopus SRO-2000INT 6” In Sump Protein Skimmer and Vertex Omega 150 Protein Skimmer. I have a 40B with 20Gal Sump and 10Gal of external refugium. I'm using the Reef Octopus NWB150 right now, so far good skimmer pull out a lot of nasty stuff. Give me some opinion before i pull the plug. Thank REEFERS

I love Reef Octopus. I have had 3 of them and never had a complaint.
The Vertex also is a beast. I like the small footprint myself. But either I think you can go wrong. |

Personally for a 40 gallon tank with a large refugium, I would keep the skimmer you have. You do not want to big of a skimmer, the skimming will be inconsistent.
