WTB Nuvo 38 - Good Price?

Hi Everyone,

I am looking to purchase an Innovative Marine Nuvo 38G tank. I have been going back and fourth with a someone looking to sell their tank and stand along with other goodies. I am looking to purchase from him the tank/stand and a Kessil A360W. He originally posted these items at $400 for the tank/stand and $300 firm for the Kessil A360W. I offered him $500 and he counter-offered me $600. The tank and stand look to be in fantastic condition and the Kessil was never used and still in box. My dream tank is a 120G rimless but I still live at home and don't want to deal with moving a tank in a couple years. I've had offers from other sellers looking to sell their 110G rimless tanks with stand for $650. It kills me not to be able to buy the larger tanks now, but it's not possible. What do you think about this price for the Nuvo 38 package?

The IM tanks are nice, a 38 is going to run you 400 a good solid stand is going to be another 200 or so maybe more. Kessil 360w is 400 brand new. 1000 for just those three things. I would say don't buy it and send him my way.

Hahaha thanks for the feedback! My next question; is it worth buying a Kessil 360 "used" or just buy the 350 brand new for the same price? I don't have an Apex and maybe I'll purchase in the future. Is the 360 a lot better than the 350?

360 is compatible with the controller kessil is about to release in the next month or so. the 350 is not. the kessil controller is cheaper then an reef controller at $99 if you want to wait for it but of course its only designed to control your light and nothing else.

The 350 is not fully controllable with apex it is on/off only where as the 360 is fully controllable with an apex such as color and intensity.

So I would go with the 360.

Thanks again for the feedback. He also is throwing in one of those goose necks for the Kessil. And hopefully I can use this to a new larger tank in the future. Thanks again. Next is to figure out what kind of fish to add to this tank.
