What type of flow restrictor is this, capilary or inline? A capilary flow restrictor fits inside the actual waste line tubing itself right where it rejects from the membrane housing, while the inline style you would cut your waste tubing and push the cut ends into the fittings of the restrictor.

www.spectrapure.com
Look for the manual on replacing a membrane.
There is a section on flow restrictors.

A housing is a housing, the inserts are the difference.
I would follow their directions myself.

So, this unit came with inline, with "FLOW 800" and an arrow written on it.

I installed these at the waste line with the arrow pointing in the direction of the water flowing OUT of the membrane and away from it.

is this correct? do I need to adjust these somehow?

Also, my TDS reading is ~150ppm at the tap, and ~10ppm post RO, and before DI...

does this sound acceptable?

Thanks for the help

Yes that is correct. No need to adjust anything. Tds is kinda high but your DI should take care of that last 10ppm

Yes, its to be expected in the city...

I have ran about 4-5 gallons out of it since I installed the new cartridges, should I continue to run it to clear out any dust in the membranes or cartridges?
