NextReef MR1 GFO, good call?

Hey guys, new the forum and very thankful for all your guys' advise and expertise! I got my 70 gallon reef system runnin about 2 months ago with the leftovers from my Biocube29. Everything is running awesome on this new system and levels are close to what they should be, but I am very interested in the NextReef MR1 Media reactor with some good high capacity GFO for Phosphate control and algae reduction maybe? My end goal is help with not having to scrub acrylic/glass so much now or in the future. I think a lot of the system is already maybe a little overkill but hopefully thats a good thing? I would love to actually get the NextReef MR1 GFO reactor and the SMR1 Media reactor just to increase my bioload capability even more. I would REALLLYY appreciate anyones thoughts, thanks guys

I have 2 of those reactors running for my 100 gallon. Carbon and GFO. great product! One of the most reliable reactors out there. (by reliable I meant no leaks).

a normal Mr1 is HUGE.. It's only about 1/3 full for my 100 gallon. You can get by with their Shorty MR1 reactor. Save u some money and space.

or buy a normal reactor and combine GFO/Carbon.

Niiice, thanks man thats what I like to hear. I actually just got off the phone with support over at NextReef as well, they are awesome and extremely honest and helpful. They agreed that the shorty would definitely do the job but I would like to mix carbon in with GFO as you said so the MR1 is my guy. He also advised against using the pellet reactor until its necessary which does totally make sense. If I want to continue to run chemipure elite in my sump, will I now mix it in with the GFO inside the reactor and no more bag in my sump? That does free up some space in the sump. Does anyone run any media like sea chem matrix media in their sump or is it even neccesary?
