50/50 Blue+ & Coral+ T5 Combo

Does anybody have experience with this bulb combo? I found a couple people running it and they really liked it, just wondering if there's more of you out there. I've seen pictures and it looked nice, but I know in person it can be different. Finally, the spectrum this would provide (along with excellent par) seems like it would excite all pigments for corals, providing a rich variation of colors.

Why would you or why wouldn't you run this combo?

They'll be in an 8 x 39w ATI Sunpower.

I run 6 X 39W ATI sunpower (3 X ATI Blue + and 3 X ATI Coral +). I am very happy with this combination:

Can you share any pictures? How about overall color? I'm expecting it to be more white with some blue still. Would you say about 14-16k?

Cant go wrong. Its a staple for most combos... a nice ICY WHITE, 14k... approx....

Ill be switching back to it after my next change... tried the 3 blue 1 coral, and 3 blue 1 purple... looks less bright than with the 2 and 2... also attempted 2 blue, 1 coral, 1 purple but was very pink toned....

enjoyed the brightness and overall viewable white instead of a dimmer blue overall look...

I personal find the 50/50 combo a bit flat and prefer to add one purple plus into the mix.

Would it be better to alternate bulbs, or would you put them in order I had on the first post (below)? I have my tank setup as a peninsula so it being equal on both sides was important to me, if you think alternating is best lmk.

I wanted a little more white so I went with:

3 blue+
2coral+
1 Aquablue special

Looks nice to me.

But now I am upgrading to an 8 bulb fixture so I am in a quandry again.

With all due respect, I'd rather stay on subject with 50/50 B+ and C+.
Thanks.

I have 2 Blue+ and 2 Coral+ in my Pacific sun Hyperion Pandora S.
Looks great! I didn't want it to be too blue and this is perfect for me.

Didn't you ask in the original post why would or why wouldn't you use the 50/50?

You're right, I did. I missed that you said you wanted more white so you put in an AB. Woops!

When I ran t5 I ran 3 blue+ 1 Coral+. Having a 50/50 mix was too "pink" looking for me. 3/1 was perfect.

I've only had the new light and bulbs running for two days. But, I really like the color so far, hopefully it doesn't change too much over the 10 day break in period Fwiw, it doesn't seem pink to me whatsoever.

Confirmed. I love this combo. I think how tron described it earlier is a good representation of how it looks, an icy 14k - hints of blue. Now just time for some more corals.

Great combo though I currently run 4 B+, 3 C+ and 1 P+. I like what the purple gives me but I could go either way
