Phosphate question
I checked my phosphate level and it was really high. Some of my corals were dying and others were growing very well. Since I have started the process of reducing my phosphate level now things have reversed. The corals that were dying are doing good and the ones that were doing good beforehand are now starting to die. Any recommendations or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What are and were the phosphate levels?
Some corals like elevated phosphate and others may not.

My hanna checker said 1.41. It's now .76. I know that of you lower it too fast it effects things so I'm trying not to lower it too fast.

so let me see if I have this straight....
You're supposed to be targeting around .05ppm, so you went from 28 times to much Po4 to only 15 times. ???? I would be surprised if you can see anything in the tank except algae.... |

That is ppm phosphate?
There certainly are not many corals that would be suffering from lack of phosphate at those levels, although I suppose it is theoretically possible that some didn't like the sudden decrease.

The decrease was in a 2 week period. Not all at once

If the numbers are accurate, continued reduction is probably a good plan.

I was told as long as I don't drop my phosphates to quickly I would be ok.

That is likely true at those levels.
