Maxpect controller and Apex controller
Quote:
I used maxpect lights more, know a little about Apex controller. for the programme setting, apex controller changes contiously and linearly while maxpect changes like that, you set 80% brightness for 10:00 ,Then set 100% for 12:00 , the lamp change from 80% to 100% just in two 2 minuts, then keep 100% level. |

This seems to be the general consensus in the sps forum. LEDs + t5 works well but MH radiums seem to still be the best growth and color. Most people going for sps with pure led seem to add t5s at some point. There is an endless number of lighting discussions... |

if not already mentioned, kessil is realeasing their own controller for the a360. you don't need to buy an apex... i had this same problem of which one i wanted and i decided to go kessil, awesome light. you might want to go maxspect if you want less shadowing

Maybe you should look Into a Radion. You can find them used for great prices here on RC.

Kessils have the most intense shimmer of any lights on the market.

I have the kessils as well. They're very nice lights. I do have the 350w's though, not the a360's over my 75. I have them hung about 18'' from the water surface. I attempted to install the goosenecks last night but I don't like how low they are to the water.
What settings do you guys have for ch 1 and ch 2? |

Can't go wrong with kessil in my opinion. There simplicity and compact size is plus also IMO.

Yes...the shimmer on the Kessils are like no other. I actually had to reposition my powerheads this morning.....can anyone say the Bee Gees and disco inferno.... Too much surface agitation will definitely give you the disco ball effect!!!
With that bing said....I love my Kessil!! |

Kessils. A150s will grow LPS and a350/360 will grow SPS corals. I've owned both and speaking from experience.
