Help Me figure out what happened to Zoas

I am trying to figure out what happened to these Zoas in my reef. This rock was looking good last week. Then I noticed that it looked like the polyps were retreating. It has gotten worse. Any thoughts on what might be causing this? Do you think they might come back ? This has happened - once before. The water tests are OK - nothing out of whack there.
This is a 150 gallon tank - there is a Coral Blue Angle and a Flame Angle in the tank. I have not noticed them nipping on any coral - I do see them nipping on some of the rocks. Perhaps they are doing this at night or when I am not around.
There are 2 Emerald Crabs - I hardly ever see them. The work at night. There are some blue and red leg crabs.
Thoughts ?

Thanks
Bruce

I guess that you mean a Coral Beauty...you only have 2 fish in a 150g tank?

my vote is for the crabs. did you buy live rock or base rock you could have a hitchhiker you may not know about yet. in my experience angels only nip at hard corals.

why are you sorry? That's why I said in my experience I didn't say he was wrong. don't be sad I didn't agree with his post. Just another opinion for the OP no need to be sorry.

I had a rogue Bi Color that went nuts on Zoanthids.
I ended up draining the tank to get it out.

There's been some accounts where emerald crabs have been caught picking at zoanthids as well.

Check this out.

Emeralds are real hit or miss... I have had some that are innocent as can be while others were opportunistic hunters lol.

As for the Angels - you can bet your rear end they'll make a snack out of your zoas. But they sure are pretty lol.

I bet I could find 50 threads saying angels are hit or miss on eating corals. there is no sure thing when it comes to this kind of stuff ONLY experiences.

Thanks for the input. Yes I have more fish in this tank - but none of them seem interested in the coral or Zoas. It would be tough to catch the angles. Could try late at night.

If there are more fish, there are more 'suspects'
