Built in fan for metal halide?

I was told they would come on automatically? They got pretty hot and never came on... Like 20 mins? Anyone know about how long it takes? I'm afraid to use it of the fans dont work.

call the manufacturer and ask..
metal halides run hot.. just might not have hit the tripping point yet.

Is this a new or used fixture? How old if used..
Fans fail frequently.

Used. Honestly Idk how old gotta be pretty old since it doesn't have any moon lights. I figured the fans might have to be replaced, just not sure if we're talking a time frame of 30 mins or two hours ya know?

Most of the halide fixtures I've used the fans simply came on with power and off with power. Maybe some have a temp sensor, but that just seems like one more thing to go wrong.
