Chloroquine phosphate removal
Not sure if anyone else has read the post available online, but there was inconclusive evidence that carbon removes chloroquine. My acrubber didn't grow anything for a whole week. I throw carbon in there and 24 hours later. Boom algae growth. Just wanted to let people know thanks. And btw chloroquine phosphate disassociates itself from the phosphate eventually. So a phosphate remove probably won't help..

Thanks for the confirmation. I've had success removing it with carbon as well.
alprazo has stated running a UV also removes CP. |

Anyone know how much carbon it would take, and how long it would take, to remove 25mg/l CP from 125 gallons of water?

Running your reef lights along with carbon should denature and remove CP rather quickly. IME it takes about a week or so. Poly-filter will also remove it. Use a high-quality carbon for best results; I use BRS ROX 0.8 for what it's worth.

I've been running about 2/3 cup of ROX since Sunday. Do you think that will get it all, or should I switch it out with fresh?
