Lighting and par numbers
I was reading today as I do everyday and came across this "graph". Would you say this is accurate? I'm curious after taking par measurements with my apogee MQ-200 on my buddies system that has 2-400w radiums. I then took par readings on my system that has the ATI Powermodule hybrid 8x54w t5 with 3x75w leds. A sps will look great in his tank under 600 par and bleach in mine under 400 par. Or vice versa(turn brown)If this is not accurate I would love to get a link or see another graph that you say is accurate. I mainly run the t5's and only have the leds at 20%. We run the same parameters and neither of use carbon or gfo or carbon dose. Not that I'm trying to fix a problem but more or less I'm obsessed with the scientific reasons of why things happen and what could I do to better my knowledge of reef keeping. I am still a noob with only 2 years experience with a sps dominated tank and am only trying to take care of and have the best looking tank that I can. I realize this has nothing to do with spectrum. I feel my knowledge of that is more broad but am always willing to learn more.
