APEX- My Light Timer doesn't work- Help
Hey,
I set up the apex over the weekend and everything seems to be working fine except my T5s. They did not shut off at 10:30pm as I have them set to. What am I doing wrong. On fusion, Outlet #1 (T5 Main) shows its off but for instance this morning I plugged the light back into that outlet and they came on when they should be OFF. I'm at a loss. Here is my code for that outlet- Fallback OFF Set OFF If Time 11:30 to 22:30 Then ON If Temp > 83.0 Then OFF Min Time 030:00 Then OFF Please help, thanks.

Do they turn off at 11?
The 'Min Time 030:00 Then OFF' might be making it wait an additional 30 minutes until it turns off

Try changing it to:
Fallback OFF Set ON If Time 11:30 to 22:30 Then ON If Temp > 83.0 Then OFF Min Time 030:00 Then OFF Also, I am not sure why you would use the advanced programming mode for this light. You can simplify things by selecting "Light" instead of "Advanced" and filling in the on time, off time and temp shut off. In advanced mode, I don't think there is any reason to include that Min Time statement. You could also try something like this: Fallback OFF Set ON If Time 11:30 to 22:30 Then ON If Time 22:30 to 11:29 Then OFF

I changed it to this- Wouldn't Set ON just make the lights come on by default?
Fallback OFF Set OFF If Time 11:30 to 22:30 Then ON If Time 22:31 to 11:29 Then OFF If Temp > 83.0 Then OFF On Fusion, the outlet is showing OFF, but I had my wife plug in the outlet just a few minutes ago and they still turned on. I'm at work hehe

I just doubled checked my refugium light code as my daytime lights are controlled by an external controller. Because the Apex program restarts at Midnight, the programming may not kick in until the next clock cycle. You can enter the code and then cycle power on the Apex. That should start the new programming. Here is my refugium light code. I think your original code should work once the Apex clock is cycled at midnight or if you cycle the power. Fallback OFF Set OFF If Time 19:30 to 10:00 Then ON If Temp > 83.1 Then OFF Min Time 030:00 Then OFF

A couple thoughts...
1. Is the outlet set to "Auto"? 2. Is your time set correctly, including the Time Zone? |

Thanks Kurt I can check again when I get home for lunch. Yes the outlet is set to Auto on Fusion, but I will check on the display.
I believe the time is correct as it was corresponding with my clocks at home at the appropriate time. I will check that again also.

Have you tried using the "light" option in the dropdown instead of "advanced"?
Have you tried another outlet? It's possible that the outlet itself is faulty, in which case the eb8 should be covered under warranty. |
