ID..should I get rid of it?

What is this thing in the middle of the mushroom? It's growing slowly and getting uglier. Is it hindering the mushroom negatively in anyway? If so, how do I get rid of it clean?

it kinda looks like a browned out paly honestly... if so. then its a coral and may color up over time..

Shrooms will win but personally I would remove it.

Can I just cut it off or will it still grow in its place again?

Try to scrape it off at the base and glue it to a frag plug, then place it else where and see what comes of it.

Looks like a paly to me, and I would remove it.

I would leave it but isn't it too much in the way of the mushrooms and hinder them from thriving?
