Eshopps S-120 Protien Skimmer
Does anybody have any recommendation on the water level that needs to be set for optimum performance skimming? I have tried the recommended water levels that Eshopps has set and it’s not the skimmate that I’m looking for. It’s on the wet side, as I try to lower the water level it still pulls out wet skimmate. I have had it running for a week now and I love it. It’s extra silent but I’m having a hard time trying to dial it in. That’s why I ask the question on any good significant water levels that would work on this skimmer.
Thanks |

I have mine in 8.5, no problems skimming wet or dry. I have it set so that the foam forms halfway up the cup and that gives me a nice tea colored skim. So far it's been the quietest and most reliable skimmer I've ever owned...a bit cheaply constructed but I still like it.

Nice, I have a 65 gallon SPS tank. My Bubble MAgus NAC6 A is wayyyy too big. I need a smaller diameter neck and a little smaller pump. I think the 120 would be great! Or the Octopus NWB 110.

That's only a couple of hours skimming. I adjusted the water level and this is what I got. I still think that it's too wet. But little by little I'll get it. |

Honesty, I think the skimmate you're getting looks fine. I usually get that or maybe a little less every 24hrs. Pretty much same color.
