Your coral should lower it for you as they use it up. 480 isnt too bad either Ive seen worse.

Lower it? Just add more coral lol! My water runs very high too. I noticed the Kent's reef salt runs really high in the big three. I wonder if it's my batch or that's just how it is.

Nothing at all wrong with calcium at 480.

Don't sweat 480, I bump 500+ from time-to-time and just ease-up on the Kalk. I'm trying to find the "sweet spot" for ATO dosing and dialling it down. I think it's tough to OD on calcium, not sure what the tipping point is for declining health? Sure someone here knows it off the top.
The reason I began dosing is that my nano 16 was slowly declining in Calcium and KH despite weekly 20% WC's. The tank was settling in after 6 months of good health and increasing growth. The demand exceeded capability from WC's alone so it's time to dose with Kalk....

Enjoy ~~_/) ~~

There is nothing wrong with that level of calcium however I would measure your magnesium levels . Magnesium helps keep cal and alk levels saturated at higher levels than sea water.
Sea waters calcium is390 with a mag level of 1280.
