life/crud in my sump ?

With all the critters in my sump I hate to vac out the crud. Does anyone have a way they have found to recover the good from the bad in all that debris.

I agree. For every critter you see there are millions you dont see. And they reproduce like the plague. BUT i have been putting all my skimmings in the compost for next years garden. If looking for something positive to do with them

I just stir up the junk almost every day so it goes back to the tank to get siphoned up. I do this often so nothing major accumulates in the fuge to get nasty.
