Flatworm? But not the red one (Planaria)
I have noticed today a flatworm on my glass. Never had them, but now I do. I don't know if this one is really dangerous or not, it's not red like planaria, it's translucent - can anyone tell me if I should panic?

If you can see one, chances are there are a lot more in your tank already. Unfortunately, these are the bad guys. They are acro eating flatworms (AEFW) and they blend in with the sps corals because they are translucent. Look at the base of the corals to see if there are bite marks. You can either dip each coral individually and/or introduce some wrasses into your tank. Melanarus and Yellow Coris wrasses are good choices. I have also heard of Spotted Mandarin gobies eating flatworms as well. Good luck.

I'm not sure what kind of flatworm that is exactly, but I would start siphoning them out now. Better safe than sorry.

Yea shucks, it appears that I brought some in on my new corals from liveaquaria. I put them in my QT tank for a week and did not see them before moving the corals into the DT.
Should we dip corals before going into DT? If so, what should we be dipping with? |

That looks just like the ones I just had!
Flatworm Exit should work. I just treated my tank for them this weekend.
