Anyone w/ macroalgae supplement iron?
Running an ATS, (controlled) algae growth is paramount and iron depletion is likely. I have used Red Sea but I am looking for recommendations for iron supplementation products. I figured a few of you who have heavy macro growth in fuges might supplement iron. I considered Brightwell but was hearing they may be fading away -- at least from LFSs. Anyone tried Kent's iron supplement?

I used fergon in the past. The macro algae turns lush green the next day. The problem with iron supplements, it turns lime in the sky completely green to the point it looks like a green slimer. Research fergon. It is the same chemical in seachem flourish. Around $10 at ride aid.

I guess I will look into Fergon as well. I have used Kent's in the past it was ok same with Brightwell.
You may have already read this but if not it is a good read. I have not been able to find Iorn Citrate for sale anywhere. i know Sierra Chemical Does not carry it. And Iron Sulfate will not work form of iron which can be found on any vitamin isle. |
