Please recommend reactor

I need a recommendation for
A GFO / Carbon reactor with
Pump for a 90g tank with
30g sump...

I looked at bulkreef supply units
Because the price was reasonable
And I looked into 2 little fishes
And next reef..

Not sure what I need for a 90
With 30g sump... Or what I can get by with

Bulk reef supplies is relatively easy to set up and the media in the canister is a lot easier to replace. I have two individual ones running for carbon and GFO. I like have a slower flow rate in the carbon chamber. Both are hooked up to my main return pump and feed right into the display.

Thank you!!
I was wondering since this is my first
Reef tank..
I read that bulk reef supplies hoses
For the reactors are very stiff and hard to
Set up and bend .. Is this true?

When you change the GFO/Carbon
All you do I shut off the pump but if you
Have it running on a manifold to your return
Pump how do you change the canisters .
I guess you would have a ball valve connected
To the reactor feed and you would just shut it off huh..

Is it better to run it all off a single return
Pump then have a separate one ?

I like the BRS reactors or similar style made by other manufacturers. The TLF reactors I do not like at all. Very messy to change media and I had a leaking problem with 2 that I tried out.

The BRS ones come with john guest push lock fittings and hose. Yes it is a rigid hose, but you can bend it pretty well, or just go to the local hardware store and get some 90 fittings.

The BRS ones also come with ball valve fittings which you use to adjust the flow through the reactor, or shut the reactor off when it is time to change the media.

I've used both a manifold and a separate supply pump. I prefer a manifold because it leaves more room in my sump.

Personally I would suggest the Spectrapure Carbon/GFO dual reactor. It has independent flow control for each chamber....a bit better than the BRS reactor.

For smaller tanks like ours...I have a 65g.....it is perfect.

FYI....you can buy it without the MJ pump and save some $$$
