Cleaning/detox equipment after QT use

I have a skimmer I need to move from the QT back to the DT. What kind of cleaning should I use to make sure no nasties go with it? I've got a jug of vinegar on hand, if that will do it.

I've always used a soak in bleach/water mixture, followed by Prime and water then RO/DI rinse. 10 to 1 bleach will kill most microorganisms. I mix it a little stronger as it may dilute in system equipment that retain water.

That will clean it, but you'd then need to let it air dry for at least a week to sterilize. Bleach will basically clean/sterilize it instantly, but you need to be super paranoid about getting all of the residue rinsed off.
