Cycle with krill?
Hey guys I'm just wondering can I start my live rock cycle with krill? Instead of real store bought shrimp or ammonia? If so how much and how often do u think I would have to put it in my aquarium? I have a biocube 14. Thanks y'all! !

i don't see why you couldn't use krill. really the important thing is the ammonia source. i can't think of a reason why krill would be any more or less a good source of decomposing material to produce ammonia than a shrimp would be.
as for the amount, that is likely something you will need to test and adjust for. it's been a long time since my tank cycled, but i recall there being desirable PPM levels of ammonia to kick things off. some of the new tank stickies probably have better, more detailed, information on this than i can provide.
