I don't think the light makes all that much difference, frankly. I currently use a 6500K LED bulb, but previously used one at 5000K and one with 660nm Reds. Guess what? No difference in growth. If your chaeto won't grow I think it's far more likely it's lacking a key nutrient. Neither nitrate or phosphate is the likely culprit either. Probably iron as was noted earlier.

Got back into the hobby ..... planned to keep it simple ..... yeah, right ..... clearly I need a new plan! Pet peeve: anemones host clowns; clowns do not host anemones!
