algae in sump please help asap

iv had this algae growing on my sump glass not sure if its that feather something algae someone told me but looking it up apprantly it cant grow on glass
i have my sump led lights on all the time which the light runs the whole lenghty of the sump
i have 0 phos and nitrates etc
no algae in dt please help me as worried if its a start of something bad

Try to get better closeup. Looks like hair algae. Scrape glass. Put a couple of snails in there if needed. Do you have any macroalgae in there?
If not then turn lights off in sump until you do or cut light schedule back so its on opposite your DT lights.

Looks like bryopsis to me.

I know this probably goes without saying but I would shut off the return pump and when you scrape the stuff off and siphon every last bit out.

Why? I can't think of another reason to run lights over entire length of sump than to encourage growth of nuisance algae. If this was your intent, it apparently worked. If this was not your intent, then . . . why are you doing it?

In sum, if you are not happy with algae growing in sump, remove as much of it as possible by hand, and then turn off the lights over the sump.

It will make its way to your display especially since it is in the section with your return pump. Get a different light for your fuge so your not lighting the whole sump.
