Aqua Medic Turbo 5000 Shorty Pump - not working

Dear all,

Suddenly my pump for the Aqua Medic Turbo 5000 shorty has stopped working.. its making sound but the needle wheel impeller isn't pumping water.

Therefore my skimmer is shut.

Has anyone faced this challenge where the skimmer pump (ocean runner 3500 for skimmer) has stopped and how to resolve this please.

Kind regards,

It sounds like your motor block is fine. Pull the impeller assembly out and inspect it for damage, such as the shaft being broken, etc. Soak both the impeller assembly and block in vinegar over night and re-assemble to see if this solves your issue. If not, then it sounds like it's time for a new impeller assembly.
