Pipe Fittings - PVC Unions

I'm looking for a few 1" PVC unions where one side is slip and the other is NPT, but I just can't find them anywhere (except really expensive online). Can I simply buy 1 slip x slip and 1 NPT x NPT and mix and match the pieces?

I'd like to be able to be able to just add a barb adapter with male NPT and just screw it directly into the union to then add flexible tubing for my drains.

Go to Lowe's or HD and just buy one of each. It's going to be a little expensive in doing this, but probably easier than the hassle to finding a place online that sells it this way, or tracking down the replacement sockets that go in the union.

I've done it. Just make sure they are the same union if you order.
