Who has an emperor angel...in there reef?
I've got a mixed reef (210gal) that is slowly moving towards a dedicated sps tank and have the imp-itch.
Who has one and what have been your experiences with different corals? I'm looking to buy a juvenile soon (I hope)... Thanks

I have had one for nearly two years. My tank is mostly sps. He mostly leaves it alone, but I do have missing growth tips from time to time. I think he may be the culprit. Not even s chance with LPS. He once ate a chalice in one sitting. He also mows down gsp and picks at anemones. |

I have had several, couple juveniles that ate everything. One juvenile I grew into adult that was fine except for clams, stay away from meaty LPS and you should be fine. I have a juvenile from the Redsea/ Africa and he is fine, eats like a pig, acts like a puppy dog. I have attached some old pictures, The first was a tank I had in my office and when we moved I sold fish and tank. The second is the one I grew from a juvenile, had him for years and then one day started attacking everything in the tank, within two weeks it perished, not sure why? The last picture is recent with my juvenile RS Imp

I have a juvenile that's been in my mixed reef for about a month and so far doesn't touch any of my corals. It is eating some of the sponge that is littered throughout my tank which is fine with me.
So far a great fish and this is coming off of a long track record of coral destroying angels for me. Eats all the prepared food I put in the tank and can destroy a sheet of nori on it's own. |
