Not using a refugium, should I try Bio Pellets?

I am not planning on running a refugium on my new build. A 93 cube, w/ 100 lbs LR, 3" sand bed... I have a cones co-2 in sump and gfo/carbon reactors... I was contemplating adding another for biopellets. I really didn't want to do a refugium. I know I'll get all sorts of mixed replies on this, but what is my best option? Should I just use my gfo / carbon and if denitrification becomes a problem, look into biopellets?
