My Melanurus Wrasse gone nuts?

He's making a mess of the tank attacking the glass and stirring the sand up everywhere, but just in this one spot. Here a video, any ideas what he's doing? Or has he gone crazy.

A few things come to mind. Tank size is one thing that can stress them out. They are kind of hyper/active fish and without enough space, they will go nuts. It's hard to tell from your video but your tank looks fairly small. Stray voltage can also stress them. I have one in my tank and he's very relaxed. Always active but not stressed like yours appears to be. Another thing is tank inhabitants. Some fish may stress them out. Lastly is salinity. If your salinity is too high, that will cause them to be overly stressed. Hopefully you are checking your salinity with a properly calibrated refractometer.

Hmm well he is usually very relaxed this was just a 30 minute episode tonight although I have seen him do it in the past. 60 gallon tank, salinity 1.026 measured with calibrated refractometer. As for stray voltage I have grounding probes and would assume other fish would also be affected. I was reading other wrasse posts of people experiencing wierd behavior though and thinking now he might be pod hunting?

Looks like it's just hunting. Mine dive bombs the sand pretty routinely when looking for tasty pods.
