People that know shrimp LOOK HERE!!

I love shrimp. I think they are cool as hell. I have a 125 gallon mixed reef tank (in progress). I'm wanting to add as many shrimp as possible. Are there any ones in particular that get a long better than others?

I have an 80 and have a cleaner, blood and a pair of yellow coral banded. They all stay in their own territories but if one does wander the others just go elsewhere. They don't fight with each other. Maybe I've just been lucky.

FWIW, I used to have two cleaners, a fire, and a coral banded shrimp in my old 60 gallon breeder. Everybody had their own little piece of the reef and got along fine. They were well fed though, so this may have been a factor in dialing down the aggression between them.

Check this out.

for my 90 gallon, I have:

2 Cleaner Shrimp
4 Peppermint Shrimp
2 Fire Shrimp
4 Sexy Shrimp

I want some Harlequin shrimps, but they eat starfish.. my tank has a few Fromia Starfish

Coral Banded is also a VERY cool shrimp, but they are a hit or miss.. sometimes they will eat your fish..

keep your shrimps well fed and they will not have issues... Always feed your shrimps first before feeding corals. Shrimps are known to pull food out of anemone/corals, killing them as a result.

My cleaner shrimp pair are comical. They have interesting personalities and aren't afraid of me at all. Anytime I clean the tank...they clean me.

I think overall they are the best choice.
