10K or Actinic?
Hey folks!
I am running a 29gal bio cube. I am dealing with some electrical demons in the hood. I am pretty sure that the primary problem is with one of the ballasts. OF course it cannot be that simple. When trouble shooting the situation on of the ballasts seems to occasionally work with the Actinic bulb and sometimes it trips the GFCI "breaker". FWIW these bulbs have been running since early May. I will continue to work on this but I am wondering if given the choice between the 10K bulb or the Actinic which I should choose. I have a small RBTA, a small hammer coral frag, a toad stool leather which is about 4" in diameter and a couple of other small soft corals. Also inhabiting the tank are two OC clowns, a Royal Gramma, yellow clown goby and two skunk cleaner shrimp. I am assuming the lighting is not a significant issue for the fish and shrimp. Once I identify the specific issues I will get the correct parts to correct the problem. In the mean time I'd appreciate hearing opinions on which bulb you would go with if you only had one choice.
