Anyone using a Vertex V6 pump?
Just wondering if anyone is using one and if they like it. I'm in the market for a new return pump. I have a ATB Flowstar as well as a DC pump. I like my ATB, but not a big fan of the DC pump because it's got a high-pitched whine and I worry that it's going to fall apart or break at any moment.
I don't mind paying the $399 price assuming the V6 is reliable and quiet. At 65 watts, it's not using much more power than a DC pump. Thoughts?

Picked one up yesterday from salty supply for daily deal of $249 so I jumped on it. I will be replacing a Waveline 6000 that has been great for about 9 months but don't like how hot the power supply feels. I like that this pump is AC but still low wattage and high flow using the askoll motor block.

I run a Laguna 1350 as a return pump and its silent. I change the pump out every 6 months with a another that I use as a backup
You can find them on Ebay for $120 |
