Waveline DC 6000 rust‏

I emailed PA a few days ago (12/2/13) seeking a response in regards to my Waveline DC 6000 rusting. I did take that into account the delay might be from the holiday sales volume. My invoice is #610718

I would like to see what can be done to resolve the issue. Do I need to contact RLSS?

Interesting.. They're supposed to have titanium bolts on the housing.

Indeed. Rlss is sending pa new screws to send me. It seems that one of the screws was off spec. I just wish the pa emailed me that rlss was taking care of it. I emailed rlss and they were already aware and that Jeremy contacted them about my situation.

Hi Paul, sorry it took me so long to respond here. Eddie from RLSS told me he was going to contacting you right away about it, and then I was out of the office all day yesterday, so I had assumed that he did indeed take care of it immediately. I didn't realize that he didn't until this morning when I saw all of the emails, my apologies. Again, sorry for the delay on this.

I had the same problem with my dc6000.. I contacted Eddie and he sent me a new volute housing and no more rust.

Seems like there are a lot of people experiencing the rust issue.

Out of spec? How does a titanium bolt not be in spec? Or are they titanium coated?

I have the pump in a vinegar bath and if I can't remove the rust I will contact them.

Hobbyist must be having nightmares with these pumps, i cant believe there are so many issues.

I do not mean to reopen a thread, but heres mine after two months....

Now, it looks like this isn't from the screws, but from INSIDE THE PUMP!!!!!! I'm contacting my LFS and RLSS, but im sure that my lfs wont do anything.... just need to remember that when I need another $600 piece of equipment.....

My problems started when I replaced the sump last weekend, but never thought the pump was leeching rust... I opened the skimmer because all the bubbles were mircobubbles, to find that the whole ring between the impeller and the cover to hold the impeller is was blackish orange rust...

If you want an expensive piece of equipment that works for a few months, get an RLSS!!!

I got the same issue. Rust signs both on the "titanium screws" and inside around the impeller. Had the pump for about a year. I would at this point never recommend this pump.

Just took mine out of tank. Same thing. Replaced with a different pump
