Bryopsis or GHA?
I think I am leaning towards Bryopsis. My reasons are I treated for 2 weeks with Algeafix and it grew more. My tangs don't touch it I added a Sea Hare 3 days ago and it is not eating it. Passes right over it like it is looking for something else. I am now going to try Kent M.

It's tough to tell. Does it look almost like a fern up close? From what I can see it looks like GHA.

GHA for sure. Very obvious IMO. The tufts blowing in the flow next to the hammer is a dead giveaway as are the very thin strands. Bryopsis is thick and wire like so to speak. It doesn't really move with the flow and is more like pig hair compared to GHA which is more hair like and will move with the flow.

If you have a sump build a simple algae scrubber the HA will grow on the screen not in the tank.

Ok, so why are none of the traditional eradication methods working. I am also running GFO and dosing vinegar. Also growing Cheato in the sump refugium.
Here is a pic of a small piece growing on the sand bed PO4 yesterday .00 and today .07 Hanna phosphorus test (0 Phosphorus yesterday 25 today) NO3 8

I have very little head room in the sump area. About 12 inches from water top to tank bottom. Couldn't get much square inches as one PCP drain line runs from one back corner to the middle of the discharge area of the sump.
