Percula Swimming face down and stays to one corner.

Good day to me fellow reefers.

I am new to the forum and to aquariums, but wanted to make sure of a few things. I current have a 20gal Saltwater tank and I noticed that at night my black percula will swim faced down at night. I have attached a photo - according to other posts I have read it is a way to conserve energy, but want to post it for myself.

Also my percula stays to pretty much one corner throughout the entire day and trying to wonder why.

Don't focus on the shoes lol - look F the two white stripes in the center if the photo.

He could be hosting that spot in your tank. They like to stay around a place they feel safe.

Totally normal for clowns (especially without a nem) to sleep in corners, at the surface, behind powerheads, etc.

+1 on totally normal behavior...yrs. ago my new b/w occy used to lay sideways on the surface in corner behind a powerhead. 1st time I saw it, scared the ish out of me...

Mine sleep in a corner as well. Really nothing about clowns is "normal."
