NEVER move your tank when it's full of water
...apparently I missed this class during my Reefing For Dummies course. I moved a full 25g approximately 4 inches away from the wall to make some filtration changes. And now it's leaking. Just a drip, from the front bottom corner, but I can't fix it unless I drain it and the stand it is on is made of MSB, so it should be paper mache by the end of the week.
The good news is PetSmart is having a black Friday blowout and I got a new 37g with LED lighting for 50% off. Just in the process of filtering some fresh water and getting ready for a long night of moving everyone over. I think I'll patch the old tank and use it for a QT, since I have been living dangerously up until now. So, since late Aug my evolution has been thus: 5g--->25g--->37g. A thousand curses on thee, Reef Central, a thousand curses. |

Some time ago there was a poster that was thinking of putting wheels on a 100+ gallon! All I could think of was it would be easier to roll to the curb after the seams split.
Seriously, I hate to hear any tank fail and that the OP has a chance to upgrade to a larger tank. Glad it worked out!

It's actually an improvement over the stock feet.
I've really only had to move it a couple times. I drain the water into a brute, move the tank a couple ft, return water. It's not like i'm taking it for a stroll through the park |

What size thank do these wheels support? Id never feel safe with wheels under my 90 + 55 sump.

Honestly i can't remember the exact weight they hold. I believe it was somewhere around 150-200 pound per set. More than enough support for my application. They are very small and they swivel. They raised the stand only 1/4". There are larger capacity casters available. Just need to look around. I found these at HD.
