Apex PH Probe Health
My lab grade pH probe is dated Feb'14 and was last calibrated September 22nd how far apart can calibrations be? Today I decided to recalibrate to check health and the reading was same as the previous calibration. Does this mean the probe can go longer between calibration times? How long do the lab grade probes last?

my experience..probes typically last 1.5-2 years..
Calibration is really required "when necessary".. most don't drift that far at all over time. something "critical" should be tested for calibration more frequently until you get an idea of when its required for that device.. some recommend 3 to 6 months or sooner at first.. "non-critical" stuff just do yearly or whenever you think about it or think it might be incorrect. not all devices fall out of cal in the same time frame so its device specific.. |
